Goldwyn A Biography Signed by A Scott Berg & Samuel Goldwyn - Very Rare Piece NM

Goldwyn: A Biography by A. Scott Berg. Alfred A. Knopf, New York, 1989. First edition, first printing, ISBN 0-394-51059-3. This copy is signed twice, which is rare. On the front free endpaper, Samuel Goldwyn Jr., son of the legendary producer and head of The Samuel Goldwyn Company, wrote a presentation inscription: "For Spence — A true showman!! With much appreciation for all you've done, are doing, and I hope continue to do for me and the Goldwyn company. Sincerely, Sam Goldwyn Jr. May 1989." A. Scott Berg signed below it in blue ink. Goldwyn Jr. inscribed it to a colleague of the Goldwyn company in the month the book came out, which connects the book, the Goldwyn family and the studio. Most signed copies carry only Berg's signature. Hardcover, 579 pages, with photographic plates. From a private San Diego collection, carefully packed. Please see all photos.
